Title: "Central Park in June" Medium: Oil on Canvas Size: 96 x 48 inches Description: This large addition to the windows series was commissioned for the lobby of the Kravis Women's center at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, which overlooks Central Park. The piece is meant to bring the outside, inside. Soft blues and greens provide a calming effect, suitable for a hospital. The green area symbolizes Central Park, surrounded by a blue noise... both the sky and water, as manhattan is an island and the park an oasis at it's center. Not visible in the online image are the subtle striations which give this piece it's character. The central frame has horizontal brushstrokes, and the window frame has vertical strokes.
