Description:

This painting is an enlargement of a pastel Geoffrey created early in 2003. He felt that the power of the piece was better conveyed in this large format.
The towers were a living monument to modern engineering and the spirit of New York City. In this picture, leaves float in the breeze, as papers and debris filled the air. The two trees, pillars of strength, weaken and crumble one just before the other. It was September, the beginning of Autumn, and the city was lively and colorful, until the world watched in horror. Fortunately, New York City has always been, and continues to be, the greatest city in the world. This piece is dedicated to those who lost their lives on that frightful day.
