It is the first time he has employed metallic paints: the upper portion of the painting was created using pure copper filings in a safflower oil medium. And last, this is the first painting in the windows series to have utilized multiple tools and textures in the border: knives, long brushstrokes, and tap (plunge) strokes. | |
