This work was commissioned for a bedroom in a condo near the bay. After
visiting the home to drop off two paintings, thoughts of what makes a
home warm and inviting, and a reflection of personal taste came to mind.
During the visit we spoke of favorite colors, fascination with water,
and the fluidity and color sense displayed in other admired works. This painting has an abstract landscape quality and integrates elements of water's reflectiveness. The condo is right on the bay, and so I thought of all the colors one might view from dawn to dusk. The painting combines the warmth and inviting qualities which make the condo a home and the myriad of bay-side views enjoyed through large bedroom windows. |
