| Description: | Continuing with the theme of tearing complex metallic fabrics, Fontaigne moves into a vernal mode with this next installment. Using a green underpainting for the tearing zones, and dominating silver, the tears point upwards indicating that there are forces acting on the canvas from lower right and left. The streak of green on the lower left is a new element in this series, but harkens to Fontaigne's earlier Windows, where brush striation was foundation textural element. | |
